The “Old Bailey” is actually the street where the Central Criminal Court is located for major criminal cases from within Greater London and in exceptional cases from other parts of England and Wales. This is the location for many scenes in films, books and television programmes including Garrow’s Law and Rumpole of the Bailey by Sir John Mortimer with Leo McKern in the title role.
